Bayern Munich looking forward to sign 17 years old left-back from Hertha Berlin

Last year’s European Champions, Bayern Munich are set to lose David Alaba to the Spanish giants Real Madrid. According to the recent rumors that have surfaced in the last few weeks, Alaba is probably going to sign for Real Madrid in the upcoming season. After an outstanding 11 years at the club, Alaba is looking forward to a new challenge outside of Germany. The bosses at Bayern Munich have already started to look for a potential signing who can replace Alaba in his absence. Find more news about Bayern Munich at hesgoal.

One of the top transfer prospects for FCB can be 17-year-old Luca Netz from Hertha Berlin. The amateur has only played a few minutes in the Bundesliga which makes him a fresh new youngster who can be nurtured from the start. In a recent game against Werder Bremen, Luca was preferred at the Left Back position over his teammate Marvin Plattenhardt. The game ended over a 4-1 loss for Hertha Berlin, but Luca was able to put up a good game.

Luca was involved in 3 successful dribbles, 1 tackle and the opponents got past him only once. Even though these stats are not enough to prove the player’s brilliance, they are quite encouraging nevertheless. It is especially true because the form Hertha Berlin are currently in, you cannot blame the 17-year-old. He was a confident and interesting kid to keep an eye on.

The departure of David Alaba is of no surprise and everyone anticipated it since the start of the 2020-21 season. Having failed to attract the veteran player with a contract, Bayern Munich are now in the endeavor to find a new talent. The club already has one of the best left backs in Europe – Alphonso Davies. So, the coach can move Lucas Hernandez to the CB spot. The club recently enquired about Reading FC’s Omar Richards. But, they are also strictly keeping Luca Netz under their radar as well.

Luca Netz is not only an exciting prospect who can turn out to be a fantastic player in the coming years, but he is inexpensive as well. As his contact is expiring this summer, if Bayern can scoop Lucs from Hertha Berlin, it will be a solid transfer move by the Die Roten. If Dayot Upamecano is going to join the Germans this transfer window, then Luca is going to be the almost perfect backup for Bayern Munich.

It is quite certain that the Bayern bosses are planning to put Lucas Hernandez in the center back position along with Niklas Sule or Dayot Upamecano (if the transfer happens). Then the regular starter Alphonso Davies is going to cover the left side of the pitch with Luca Netz as the backup. The Bayern center-back position has been quite shaky for the last few weeks. So, Hansi Flick must chalk a strategy which would solidify the central defense and add more fresh legs to the left back position also.
