La grieta de Totana (Murcia) tiene 300 metros de longitud y 2 de profundidad y se abre 50 cm al día, lo que implica una separación tectónica.

La Concejalía de Emergencias ha solicitado hoy la urgente presencia de técnicos del Instituto Geológico y Minero de la Unidad de Murcia del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad para evaluar los motivos de la aparición de “una enorme grieta terrestre” surgida tras las últimas lluvias torrenciales en una parcela del polígono industrial “El Saladar” de Totana, según fuentes municipales.

La grieta se extiende sobre una parcela del parque industrial en dirección a la Ciudad Deportiva “Valverde Reina”; y tiene una longitud de más de 300 metros  y una profundidad de más de dos metros en algunos tramos, según informan fuentes de Protección Civil.
Las mismas fuentes indican que la grieta apareció hace dos días y se abre de forma progresiva en los últimos días alcanzando una apertura de entre 40 y 50 centímetros en algunas zonas, por lo que el Ayuntamiento va a señalizar la zona con el fin de evitar algún accidente por otros riesgos geológicos en la zona.
El pasado mes de octubre, en la pedanía lumbrerense (Puerto Lumbreras) de El Esparragal, apareció una grieta de 1,5 kilómetros, que salió a la luz tras desaparecer el agua de las inundaciones de septiembre.
Por el momento, aunque no se descarta el origen meteorológico de la grieta debido a las fuertes lluvias torrenciales en la zona, cobra cada vez más fuerza el argumento tectónico, debido al incremento diario de 50 cm.  Recordemos que en los últimos años hemos reportado movimientos sísmicos en la zona, lo que hace que el fenómeno requiera un estudio en profundidad. 147 movimientos sísmicos de magnitud superior a 3.5 en sólo cuatro días desde el 4 de septiembre.

En lo que llevamos de semana, en apenas 5 días se han registrado centenares de movimientos sísmicos. El último cómputo es de 147 de magnitud superior a 3.5.

Si contamos los de magnitud 2.5, el número de terremotos ascendería a 479.  Nunca hasta ahora se habían reportado en 4 días tantos terremotos y de una forma tan distribuida a lo largo del globo.

Destacar el Terremoto de Costa Rica del día 5 de septiembre, en Hojancha, de magnitud 7.8.

Ver el reporte aquí. Afortunadamente el seísmo no ha causado bajas humanas y apenas ha causado daños materiales.

Resulta revelador el hecho de que a pesar del incremento de la actividad sísmica, no se hayan reportado bajas humanas, algo que considerando la superpoblación de las zonas próximas a los epicentros de los movimiento reportados, parece casi “milagroso”.

Estadísticamente 147 Terremotos potencialmente peligrosos en 4 días no han causado baja alguna, supone también un récord a tener en cuenta para los escenarios de prevención sísmica.

Monitor sísmico integral: Acceso a toda la actividad sísmica y estaciones coordinadas del globo.

Presentamos una excelente herramienta para el seguimiento continuo de la actividad sísmica. El monitor sísmico integral permite la coordinación de todas las estaciones sísmicas y su registro en diferentes estaciones de un mismo terremoto. Ha sido desarrollado por la National Science Foundation (NSF)

Destacar el seguimiento individualizado por movimientos, o posicional por estaciones en el que se corelacionan las detecciones de los movimientos por cada una de las estaciones.

El filtro permite seleccionar movimientos o estaciones para analizar la actividad sísmica de los principales movimientos reportados.

Una excelente herramienta para el seguimiento y estudio de los movimientos sísmicos en tiempo real.

El estudio de S. Chaty and F. Rahou, publicado en ArXiv ofrece las pistas necesarias para mapear 1.9GSTV.

Ha sido necesario esperar dos años y medio. Un despliegue sutil de medios y miles de papers relativos a las posiciones analizadas, pero por fin la comunidad científica se atreve a buscar de forma activa. No es ciencia ficción. Son datos. En esta línea Chaty and F.Rahou han comenzado una línea metodológica de búsqueda sin precedentes en la historia científica reciente.

Algo se mueve ahí fuera basados en IGR J16318−4848 . De ello ya no hay duda. Vamos a determinar qué es. Vamos a verlo. No tiene sentido cerrar los ojos y decir que el modelo clásico es el válido sin investigar. Tal es la iniciativa de Chaty & Rahou. En esta ocasión, tras verificar los fundamentos de nuestra búsqueda, han decidido unirse a ella.

Ciertamente estamos ante una oportunidad inestimable de entender nuestro sistema Solar. Descartar o confirmar Es la única forma de estar seguros en nuestros hallazgos. Algo está claro: Nuestro sistema solar es binario. La cuestión reside más en saber cuándo, dónde, con qué órbita y con qué frecuencia.

Y en ese sentido el valiente estudio  presentado por Chaty and Rahou, establece unas pautas importantes para la detección:

1º.-En los sistemas binarios la actividad telúrica y volcánica se incrementa cuando acontece el transito de la aproximación de la binaria a la estrella principal.

2º.-La emisione de pulsos “X” procedentes de la estrella se alteran con el tránsito de la perturbación a la principal.

3º.-Los procesos climáticos globales se modifican, gaciaciones y otras modificaciones térmicas.

4º.-Rotaciones que afectan  la concepción gravitacional y a las tormentas estelares  tal y como las conocemos actualmente.

En concreto, exponen una metodología nueva, basada en la observación del comportamiento de los sistemas estelares binarios, para literalmente:

To suggest that the materialabsorbing in the X-rays had to be concentrated around the compact object, while the material absorbing in optical/NIR would extend around the whole binary system. The NIR spectroscopy in the 0.95− 2.5μm domain revealed the third amazing fact: the high energy source exhibits an unusual NIR spectrum, very rich in many strong emission lines. The study of these lines showed that they originated from different media (exhibiting various densities and temperatures), suggesting the presence in this high energy source of a highly complex and stratified circumstellar environment, and also the presence of an envelope and a wind. Only luminous post main sequence stars show such extreme environments, the companion star being most likely a sgB[e] star, there fore making IGR J16318−4848 an HMXB. As in X-rays the NIR characteristics are also reminiscent of the other peculiar high energy source XTE J0421+560/CICam, for which IRAS 12-100μm data suggested the existence of a substantial circumstellar dust shell (Belloni et al. 1999; Clark et al. 1999).

Pero el modelo de Chaty and Rahou, no se agota aquí. Van mucho más allá. La formación binaria es clave para el entendimiento de las fluctuaciones en Resonancias Schumann:

MIR photometric and spectroscopic observations of IGR J16318−4848 were carried out on 2007 July 12−13 using VISIR (Lagage et al. 2004), the ESO/VLT MIR instrument, composed of an imager and a long slit- spectrometer covering several filters in N and Q bands and mounted on Unit 3 (“Melipal”) of the VLT. The standard “chopping and nodding” MIR observational technique was used to suppress the background dominating at these wavelengths. Secondary mirror-chopping was performed in the North-South direction with an am- plitude of 16′′ at a frequency of 0.25Hz.

With the aim of SED fitting, we completed our set of VISIR data with already published (1) ESO NTT/SofI NIR (Filliatre & Chaty 2004) and (2) Spitzer/IRS MIR (Moon et al. 2007) low-resolution spectra. We have re-analysed and recalibrated both spectra: (1) The IGR J16318−4848 and HiP 80456 (F5V) telluric standard SofI spectra, covering the spectral range 0.9 to 2.5μm, were reduced with the IRAF suite by performing crosstalk correction, flatfielding, sky subtraction, and bad pixel correction. The spectra were then extracted, wavelength calibrated with a xenon arc taken with the same setup, and finally combined. The telluric features were corrected with the telluric task. The result was then multiplied by an F5V synthetic spectrum downloaded from the ESO website5, scaled to the 2MASS magnitudes of HiP 80456 in the H and K filters.

Conclusión: El binarismo estelar es plenamente convergente con los datos que tenemos del estudio del sistema Solar. 

Formed from optical to MIR on the highly absorbed HMXB IGR J16318−4848 hosting a supergiant B[e] star allow us to strengthen the presence of absorbing material (dust and cold gas) enshrouding the whole binary system and better characterise its properties. With these new MIR spectroscopic observations and NIR-MIR ESO NTT/SofI, VISIR and Spitzer spectral fitting we confirm the presence of two-temperature components, with an ir- radiated rim of temperature Trim = 3786K, surrounded by a hot dusty viscous disk component at Tin = 767 K, corresponding to the best fit parameters (see Table 3). As suggested by Filliatre & Chaty (2004) and then shown by Kaplan et al. (2006), Moon et al. (2007) and Rahoui et al. (2008), our MIR spectra and SED fitting confirm the existence of a strong NIR/MIR excess, due to the presence of a hot circumstellar dust component, likely formed in the dense outflows coming from the early-type sgB[e] companion star of IGR J16318−4848. This component has a temperature of Tdust  767 − 923 K, with a maximum extension of rout = 3.55 au/kpc (assuming cos(i) = 1) for R⋆/ D⋆ between 5.80 − 11.71 R⊙ /kpc. Assuming a distance of 1.6 kpc (Rahoui et al. 2008), R⋆ would be in the range 9.3 − 18.7 R⊙, and the extension of the dust equal to rout = 5.6 au, corresponding to 64.3−129.8 R⋆. This value is larger than the one derived with the spherical shell model, which is consistent with the fact that for the same amount of dust, it will have to be spread on a larger distance if it has a disk rather than shell geometry. In addition, a high value is consistent with a low inclination, as suggested by the Br line profile in the NIR spectrum (Filliatre & Chaty2004).

On the other hand, in none of our NIR-MIR fits do we require a warm  190 K dust component that was claimed by Moon et al. (2007). We suggest that this additional component was necessary in their fits, firstly because they only took into account the Spitzer spectrum without including the NIR spectrum, and secondly be-cause they chose a spherical geometry. By including all available spectra from NIR to MIR, and applying a disk- geometry to our components, our fits are much closer to the physical nature of the environment surrounding these objects, and therefore more accurate and physical.

Estado de la ionosfera a 29 de Marzo: Actividad Sísmica en aumento.

La ionosfera vuelve a presentar una coherencia con los patrones sísmicos detectados en los últimos dias.

Procedemos al detalle de los diagramas en tiempo real, TEC, F2 y TECU, para comprobar el estado de saturación en las zonas donde han sido reportados los movimientos sísmicos en los ultimos 7 días. (Más de 216 seísmos) de magnitud superior a 2.5, y de ellos 105 de magnitud superior a 4.5

1.-Datos ionosfera:Diagrama F2.

Fuente: Multiagregador de Tiempo Solar y Espacial.

Podemos observar como el diagrama de F2, muestra saturación en las zonas de México ,Chile y América Central. Las altas densidades también afectan a la zona de California, aunque en menor medida.

2.-Diagrama TEC.

El Diagrama de Cargas en Ionosfera (TEC), muestra idénticos parámetros que el F2, lo que confirma la saturación de la Ionosfera en las zonas arriba descritas. Los datos son en tiempo real.

3.-Acumulación densidad sobre media mensual TECU.

El diagrama de convección TECU, sobre cargas acumuladas, muestra una acumulación de densidades en las zonas analizadas de 20 Unidades por encima de la media mensual. Todo el Continente Americano, Asia y Oceanía están en la media mensual, lo que supone una carga media de unos 10 MHz.

Los valores de la ionosfera están bastante altos.

Por su parte la magnetosfera presenta una aparente calma, en la que sorprenden las anomalías en presión:

Demasiadas réplicas para un simple terremoto. ¿Se está gestando un volcán en Guerrero, México?

La sucesión continua de réplicas durante las últimas 48 horas, hace pensar en una cuba volcánica, más que en una sucesión de movimientos sísmicos.

Son demasiadas réplicas en el mismo punto, y este evento requiere de la intervención de las autoridades gubernativas. Así ha sido. Durante el día de ayer, 21 de Marzo, el Gobernador del estado de Guerrero en México: Ángel Aguirre, aseguraban que un equipo de geólogos de la UNAM y de la Universidad del estado ya están en el municipio de Ometepec para investigar el posible fenómeno volcánico.

un volcán en las inmediaciones de Huixtepec y Huajintepec, pertenecientes al municipio de Ometepec, y que pudiera ser el factor de los constantes movimientos sísmicos en la región.

Entrevistado luego de revisar una visita de supervisión junto con el secretario General de Gobierno, Humberto Salgado Gómez, a las dos comunidades más afectadas por el sismo de 7.4 grados Richter, el mandatario estatal dijo que de acuerdo con señalamientos de habitantes de Huixtepec, existe la posibilidad de que esté naciendo un ‘volcán pequeño‘ y que pudiera ser causante de los temblores.

Por ese motivo, llegó a Ometepec un grupo de investigadores del departamento de Sismología del Instituto de Geofísica de la UNAM, encabezados por el Doctor Allen Husker, quienes harán las inspecciones correspondientes.

 El gobernador iniciará en los próximos minutos una reunión de evaluación con el secretario de Desarrollo Social federal, Heriberto Félix Guerra, y con la coordinadora nacional del Sistema Nacional de Protección Civil, Laura Gurza, a fin de detallar los esquemas de apoyo que otorgará el Presidente de la República a los damnificados.
Las réplicas ascienden a más de 80 desde la producción del terremoto de 7.4 grados en la escala Richter que afortunadamente apenas ha generado daños materiales por el momento.
Continúan las altas densidades en la ionosfera en la zona del seísmo, lo que implica que seguirán probablemente computándose réplicas en las próximas horas.

La tormenta solar del 24 y 25 de Febrero y el Seísmo de Siberia.

La pasada tormenta solar correspondiente a los días 24 y 25 de febrero, se ha caracterizado por un nivel alto de absorción en la magnetosfera y un peculiar flujo de protones, algo que viene siendo habitual desde  principios de 2011.

Reproducimos aquí los parámetros detectados en tiempo real.

Las zonas de mayor riesgo sísmico en fucsia y gris.

4º.-Diagrama TECU-F2 sobre medias globales.

La tendencia actual es a una carga saturada de partículas en toda la ionosfera. Esta tendencia comenzó en 2011, desde que comenzaron los incrementos en el flujo de protones en el patrón de las tormentas solares.

Las zonas en azul presentan un nivel de sobrecarga superior a 20 unidades por encima de la media mensual, lo que implica riesgo potencial de posible incremento en  la actividad sísmica durante los días 26 a 28 de febrero.

Destacar las 13 réplicas superiores a 4-5 de magnitud acaecidas entre ayer y hoy en el SO de  Siberia que siguieron al seísmo de magnitud superior a 6.7
